"I was born and raised in Tondo, Manila, Philippines.  My wife Lety and I were classmates from Torres High School and both graduated high school in 1955.  I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of the East while Lety completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Architecture at Mapua Institute of Technology.  We got married on February 10, 1963.  

 

I came to America in 1969 and Lety soon followed in 1970.  We have raised 3 children: Rainel, Irmina, and John Norman in the Santa Clarita Valley from the late 70’s.  We now have 8 grandchildren.

I am one of the organizers in the formation and incorporation of the Association in 1984. It is my hope that this association will continue to flourish in the next  several years and that our youth who are the future leaders of this organization will carry on the traditions and ideals of our Filipino heritage.

 
We have fulfilled our dreams for our dear Fil-Am Association of SCV when we celebrate our many years of unforgettable anniversaries.  One of my favorite quote:"

HIGHLIGHTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 

• 1st place - Best Use of Theme Award in July 4th Parade-“We’ve Come A Long Way”. Our Entry was called “The Immigrants”

• 1st Souvenir Program at the June Festival-“Pista Ng Bayan” 

• 1st Scholarship Award Recognition to our High School Graduates.  Financial assistance to their counterparts in the Philippines.

• 2-year term on the board for top 3 highest voted candidates implemented
